Meet the Buie's...
Both Buddy and June have a rich Apostolic heritage. Buddy was born in Kilgore, Texas where his father, Rev. A. W. Buie, Sr., pastored the First Pentecostal Church. June was born in Winnsboro, Louisiana to L. J. and Gloria Davis, long-time saints. Both were reared in the Church all their lives. Buddy's grandfather, Rev. A. T. Morgan, was a former General Superintendent of the United Pentecostal Church International, and his father, a former District Superintendent of the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ.
June and Buddy met in their senior year of high school in Bastrop, Louisiana. Buddy's father was pastored Pleasant Drive Pentecostal Church there. They were married in January 1969 and have two sons, Christopher and Jonathan. Chris and Tina's three children, Keanan, Kaylin, and Kollin, are their grandchildren. Buddy graduated from Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe, LA earning a B. A. History degree in 1970 and from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, CA earning a M. S. Systems Management degree in 1975. Prior to full-time ministry, Buddy served in the U.S. Army as an experimental test pilot with over 5,900 flight hours. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. June is a graduate of Bish-Mathis Business School in Monroe, LA. She is a certified Aqua Exercise Instructor, complementing her health lifestyle. She takes every opportunity to help others achieve healthier lives through exciting water exercise and diet.
The Buie's have extensive pastoral experience, having pastored the First United Pentecostal Church of Opp, Alabama in the early 90's. In 1993, they assumed the pastorate of the Manhattan Pentecostal Churchin New York City. They pastored in New York until 2005. In both pastorates, the Buie's saw strong church growth and renovated both church plants. In New York, Buddy oversaw the sale of the church's aging building, the purchase of new facilities, and the relocation of the church on the Upper West Side.
Buddy and June have been evangelizing across the country for over two years, and are enjoying their new ministry and many new friends and brothers and sisters they are meeting in their ministry travels.
