Buddy Buie Ministries

After several missions trips to Ghana, we were so excited to be invited again by Missionary Jim & Linda Poitras for the 2011 National Ministers & Wives Conference in July. It is always a tremendous blessing to have the privilege of ministering to the Ghanaian ministers and the local church congregations. The resident missionaries in Ghana are an outstanding and anointed group - Jim & Linda Poitras, Nick & Pam Sisco, and Colleen Carter. As a result of their leadership and that of the Ghanaian national officials, Ghana UPC has become an exemplary model for effective outreach, sustained revival, and ministerial development and education for other African national churches.

For the first week in country, we preached at several churches in the Greater Accra region. The Lord richly blessed and 15 people received the Holy Ghost during these services. We enjoyed services at Vision Chapel and the new church plant at the M. J. Grand Hotel, both pastored by Rev. Jerry Hanson, and Dream Light Chapel, pastored by Rev. Asare, as well as the James Town Assembly. Rev. Hanson has an active outreach to new communities in his area of the capital city of Accra.

Our second week was spent in local Accra churches and preparing for the National Ministers & Wives Conference in the northern region city of Tomale. After a two day drive to Tomale, we began one of the most blessed conferences we have ever had the opportunity to attend. Our day ministerial and wives meetings were so anointed with His presence and the ministry of the Word by Superintendent Ekpah and others was outstanding and impacting. The night services were equally powerful as 54 received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and over 30 were baptized in the glorious name!

Sister Colleen Carter had spent three weeks in several northern cities visiting local churches, ministering in services, and inviting the local population to attend the conference's night services. During her pre-conference ministry, over 50 received the Holy Ghost with an equal number receiving their miraculous healing. God answered our prayers by demonstrating His Spirit and power throughout the week and our 3-week missions effort in Ghana has become one of the most memorable of our lives.
